Many local residents who have been on the waiting list for allotments or many years are to lose out of the opportunity to rent an allotment, following a decision by the Coservative council.
Rather than allocating the allotments to people who have been on the waiting list, the Conservatives at the Royal Borough are placing some allotments out to auction on e-bay to the highest bidder.
Local Lib Dems would make sure that allotment went to people who had been waiting rather than encouraging queue jumping.
