Local Lib Dems would like to thank the thousands of residents who voted Liberal Democrat on May 5th. Obviously the result was a huge disappointment.
Being part of the Government that is having to make some pretty unpleasant but necessary decisions to get the country back on track economically and fiscally, obviously had a huge effect – and the Liberal Democrats rather than the Conservaties seem to have got the blame for this!
The result showed that the Liberal Democrats are still the only opposition to the Conservatives in the Borough. Labour came a poor third. Many people are already regretting voting Labour and letting the Conservatives win.
We are all determined to continue to campagn on the issues that affect local residents across the Borough.
